Not the Robin Hood You Saw As a Kid…

Do you remember Disney’s take on the classic Robin Hood story? The whistling rooster with the guitar, the juvenile Prince who sucked his thumb, or the rambunctious snake sidekick? It was a great movie, but that was only one interpretation of it….

Enter Ridley Scott. You know, the award-winning director of box-office giants like Gladiator or Kingdom of Heaven? Well, it’s his turn to take a stab at the Robin Hood story; and he’s not playing around…

In an intense broo-ha-ha of swordplay and action similar to Gladiator, the story of Robin Hood is coming back and is being played by the famous Russell Crowe. Cate Blanchett will also star in it as the beautiful Marion Loxley. If this movie is anything like Gladiator, it will be a summer blowout hit at the box office!

The film hits theaters on May 14th

Conan will be back!!!………on TBS

So I’m sure you all heard at least at some point about the fiasco with Conan and NBC. After dismal ratings for the then-new Jay Leno Show, NBC decided to put Leno back into the Tonight Show…..and kick Conan out. Many fans were outraged and retaliated, but NBC still won. Conan stepped down from the Tonight Show and Leno acquired his throne once again.

It left the question burning in fan’s minds-Is Conan coming back to TV? Well, the answer now is yes. Conan has signed a TV Show deal with the cable station TBS that will supposedly start in November. His show will precede the newly created show, George Lopez Tonight.

I’m a huge fan of Conan, and am very anxious for this new show to start. Hopefully you are too!

Tron Legacy-It Will Make You More Nostalgic Than Uncle Rico

Several years ago, I randomly bought a VHS copy of Tron at a thrift store and popped it into the VCR. I think I fell asleep on my couch while watching it, but I thought the story was quite intriguing. I’m sure there are harder Tron fans out there than myself, and in several months they will be served up a hot dish of exactly what they want-a new Tron movie.

I stumbled upon the teaser trailer on YouTube and was really amazed. The CGI looks amazing, and what’s more is that it is not an exact remake of the original story, but a continuation. From the trailer, you can tell that the story revolves around a young boy who stumbles on the abandoned arcade where the Tron game sits. Through a coincidence he lands in the Tron world. If you’re a fan with a big case of the Tron munchies or just a casual movie enthusiast, check this movie trailer out!

It comes out in December.
