Clooney plays Ryan Bingham, a business man who spends 360 days a year on the road doing the dirty work of firing employees for corporate America.  Trouble comes along as a newcomer tries to revolutionize the industry by doing the firing online rather than in person. Bingham begins to see his nomadic life in a different light as he begins to realize luxurious hotels and airline perks aren’t all what they’re cracked up to be.

Before Up in the Air even hits theaters,the film has already been dubbed by the National Board of Review as the Best Picture of the Year. Not only that, but there has already been rumors of Oscar awards.  However, it’s all still ‘up in the air‘ as many other film critics have been giving it less than complimentary reviews.
