Russell Crowe Asks Fans For Help

Russell Crowe has taken to Twitter, urging fans to help him get a sequel to “Master and Commander: The Far Side of The World” in the making. He urges those who are with him to email Tim Rothman at Fox, and express your positive opinions regarding a sequel. The first film, released in 2003, did well at the box office, even winning two Oscars for Best Cinematography and Best Sound Editing. Rumors have swirled about a sequel for many years, though nothing substantial has come to fruition. Some time ago, Crowe even suggested that a screenplay had be written, though the truth of this has not been verified. The story of the first movie is based off of a twenty book fiction series, written by author Patrick O’Brian. A representative from 20th Century Fox responded to Crowe’s comment saying, “Getting a lot of tweets about Master & Commander sequel, I’ll look into it.” Here’s to hoping!
