Top 5 Funniest TV Characters
Throughout the history of comedy in television there have been some very memorable TV characters. The question is simple, which is the funniest? Although a list of hundreds could be made; I will attempt to do the impossible, and list the 5 funniest TV characters of the last 20 years. I am limiting myself to one character per show, otherwise the list would only have characters from the Office, Seinfeld, and Arrested Development. Let it begin!
5.) Homer Simpson, The Simpsons

Homer Simpson plays the patriarch role in the Simpsons. He is loved for his dumb and thoughtless humor. He laid the foundation for comedic animated characters in one of the most well known animated television shows.
4.) Peter Griffin, Family Guy

Peter Griffin is the second animated character on this list. He plays the father role among a family of equally funny characters. His humor is known for being ridiculous and often offensive, but also priceless.
3.) Gob, Arrested Development

Gob is one of the Brothers among the Bluth Family, a family full of dysfunctional relationships trying to save its family owned business. Gobs character is consistently causing problems for the family and constantly providing humor as well. Despite its brilliance an entertainment quality this show somehow only lasted three seasons.

Michael Scott is Manager of the Scranton Branch of paper and printer distribution company Dunder Mifflin, Inc. His character is extremely awkward and hilarious. The whole show revolves around Michael Scott and his sense of humor.

Kramer has to be one of the most interesting characters in the history of television. He is original, hilarious, and has great outfits. The show Seinfeld is widely known as one of the greatest television shows of all time, largely due to the humor that Kramer provides.
